How many new ads a week does your account need? Motion's benchmark says accounts spending $200K to $1M a month launch about 11 a week, but that counts small edits, so it isn't your number. Yours sits between two limits.
The ceiling: what your test budget can judge
Test budget per day = daily budget x 0.2
Ceiling = test budget per day / cost per sale
= the most new ideas you can judge at once, for a week eachSay your daily budget is $5,000. A fifth is $1,000. At a $50 cost per sale, that's 20 ideas at most. At $100, it's 10.
That's a ceiling, not a target. Fill it with versions and you've tested very little (see how I count concepts).
The floor: how fast your winners tire
I assume a new winner tires in two to three weeks. Meta's own fatigue label is based on cost per result rising against the ad's past, not on a day count. And only a few new ideas ever take real money: in Motion's 2026 data, roughly 5% of creatives qualify as winners.
Floor = concepts needed per winner / weeks a winner lasts Example: 1 in 10 of your concepts becomes a winner, and a winner lasts 2 to 3 weeks -> about 10 concepts judged every 2 to 3 weeks -> 4 to 5 new concepts a week
Plug in your own hit rate. If your ceiling is above your floor, plan between the two. If it's below, more ads won't help. You need a bigger test budget or a lower cost per sale first.
I plan AI ads so the next idea is judged before the winner tires.
